How these Auditory Memory Activities work:

Students will be able to practice shapes and colours while listening to and remembering instructions which they will need to follow.
Students will be given an auditory instruction, telling them to put something in a basket.
The students then move to the next card and need to drag 1 or more shapes into the basket that fits the description in the instruction they were given.
In Level 1, initially each instruction has only 1 part for the students to remember: EITHER a shape OR a colour. After a while, the instructions become more specific – each instruction has 2 parts for the students to remember: the SHAPE and COLOUR of the item that they must place in the basket.
In Level 1a, each instruction has only 1 part for the students to remember: EITHER a shape OR a colour.
In level 1b, each instruction has 2 parts for the students to remember: the SHAPE and COLOUR of the item that they must place in the basket.
In level 2, each instruction has 2 parts for the students to remember: the NUMBER of items and the SHAPE OR COLOUR of the items that they must place in the basket.
In level 3, each instruction has 4 parts for the students to remember: the SHAPE and COLOUR of the 2 different items that they must place in the basket.
In level 4, each instruction has 6 parts for the students to remember: the SHAPE and COLOUR of the 3 different items that they must place in the basket.
In level 5, each instruction has 8 parts for the students to remember: the SHAPE and COLOUR of the 4 different items that they must place in the basket.
